Weather Forecast: Sunny spells, light winds, and only a few light showers

Today 12th November:

Frosty start for some inland areas, but temperatures soon lifting in the sunny spells that appear throughout the day. Mainly dry with only a few light isolated showers expected. Southeast breezes freshening late afternoon across Orkney. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland staying mainly dry with clear spells tonight. For Orkney cloud thickening overnight to bring the risk of longer periods of rain towards dawn. Southeast winds increasing strong. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Monday 13th November:

Shetland keeping a mix of sunny spells and only a few isolated light showers. Orkney cloudy with occasional rain, most persistent during the afternoon. Winds east to southeast strong. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Shetland mainly dry with brighter spells for Tuesday and Wednesday. Otherwise unsettled with showers that occasionally merge to longer periods of rain.
