Cloudy with the occasional bright spell and scattered showers over Orkney, drier with sunny spells Shetland. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Bright, isolated showers Saturday becoming cloudy and windy with rain at times from Saturday night. Drier over Orkney for a time Sunday then cloudy but dry for most later Monday.
