Tonight:

Windy with rain or showers over Shetland, but drier and clearer across Orkney with lighter winds. Winds easing a little across Shetland late in the night, turning into the south, Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Saturday 6th January:

Outbreaks of rain over Shetland, but brighter with scattered showers in Orkney. Winds turning into the west or northwest, fresh at times. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mainly dry and settled with bright, sunny or clear spells, although the odd light shower possible on Sunday. Winds mostly light with a frost at night.
