Today 11th January:

It will be another cloudy day but it will be mainly dry with just an isolated light shower remaining, mostly over Shetland. Lighter northerly winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

It will be a dry night with mostly cloud skies and just the odd clear interlude. The blanket of cloud will keep temperatures above freezing. Brisk northwest winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Friday 12th January:

A cloudy day and staying dry during the morning. Patch drizzle will develop during the afternoon with more persistent rain in the evening. Westerly winds becoming strong. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Rather cloudy with a few showers on Saturday. Turning much colder on Sunday and Monday with strong northerly winds and blustery showers, mostly of sleet or snow.
