A chilly start. Sunny spells and scattered blustery showers through the day, these showers heavy at times. Winds back southwesterly and strengthen bringing more frequent showers to Shetland later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Clear spells and scattered blustery showers through the night, these will be heavy at times. Southwesterly winds will strengthen to gale force. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Saturday 27th January:

Mostly cloudy with showers, becoming more persistent and locally heavy rain at times. Stronger winds in the morning should ease somewhat later. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy but dry at first Sunday. Rain spreads east later with southwesterly gales. Then a mostly dry evening and all through Monday, with a few showers. Rain spreads north Tuesday.
