A mainly dry day with variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny intervals, Chance of a brief shower. Strong westerly winds at first becoming light and variable by afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland will be dry and cold with a frost. Clouding over across Orkney with a little light rain developing towards the end of the night. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Thursday 15th February:

Rain spreading across Orkney in the morning and then into Shetland through the afternoon. Misty low cloud developing across Orkney later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloud and a few showers at first on Friday soon clearing then dry and bright. Dry for most of Saturday but rain spreading east later. Dry on Sunday.
