Weather Forecast: Rain spreading northeast. Some mist patches, mainly this afternoon.

Today 15th February:

Rain will become heavier across Orkney early in the morning before extending to Shetland. Misty low cloud will then develop across Orkney, mainly in the afternoon. Strong easterly winds over Shetland but lighter across Orkney. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Rain will clear to north of Shetland this evening with winds easing. However remaining rather murky across the Isles with drizzle at times. Orkney seeing best of any clearer spells. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday 16th February:

A murky start with patchy drizzle, but soon brightening up for Shetland. Brighter weather extending to Orkney in the afternoon albeit with the odd shower possible. Lighter winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Dry for most of Saturday but rain spreading east later with stronger winds. Rain for Shetland clearing Sunday morning, otherwise dry and fair. Patchy cloud Monday, risk of rain.
