The morning will be overcast with outbreaks of rain, persistent and heavy at times over Shetland, becoming dry with sunny spells by midday then a few showers following later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with showers, soon becoming dry with clear spells Orkney. Showers clear Shetland later, leaving the night dry with clear periods. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Wednesday 21st February:

Dry with bright or sunny spells at first. Outbreaks of occasionally heavy rain spread north through the morning, clearing to showers later. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Unsettled with bright spells and showers, these merging into longer outbreaks of rain at times and becoming wintry over higher ground, particularly during Thursday.
