Today 4th March:

Shetland will remain cloudy with occasiional mainly light rain. Southeasterly winds will strengthen too. Orkney staying mainly dry, with lighter winds, mostly cloudy but a few bright or sunny intervals possible in west, with light showers over the northeast. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with further light rain at times, though Orkney should turn clearer and mainly dry tonight. Fresh to strong southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Tuesday 5th March:

Again rather cloudy with a little light rain and strong southeasterly winds. Perhaps some early sunshine for Orkney. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Strong winds and patchy rain or showers at times. Mostly cloudy on Wednesday but more in the way of sunny intervals on Thursday and Friday.
