Orkney will stay dry with often large amounts of cloud, though a few sunny intervals, especially this morning. Shetland cloudy with some patchy rain or light showers, then brightening up in the afternoon, some sunny intervals. Strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

It will be a mainly dry and cloudy evening and night with just a few clear intervals these especially over Shetland. The odd light shower possible by morning. Windy. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday 6th March:

Rather cloudy with limted sunny intervals along with a few showers. Southeasterly winds easing moderate to fresh. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rather cold and windy, with a mixture of sunny or clear intervals along with some mostly light showers.
