A cloudy day with the occasional bright spell in the morning, increasing over Orkney in the afternoon. The odd morning shower will clear Orkney in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

The night will be cloudy with some clear spells, these mainly over Orkney. A dry night for Orkney with the chance of an odd shower over Shetland. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Thursday 7th March:

Cloudy with the occasional bright spell and the chance of an isolated shower, becoming drier through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

A mainly cloudy few days with some bright spells and the occasional shower. The southeast wind will strengthen as rain spreads over Orkney for a time Saturday night.
