The occasional morning shower becoming drier with sunny spells and perhaps the odd shower in the afternoon. Strong northerly wind will ease through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy night with clear spells, Orkney will stay dry overnight but the occasional shower will reach Shetland at times. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Monday 25th March:

Cloudy with sunny spells interspersed with wintry showers. The breeze will be light and changeable. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A strengthening wind and outbreaks of rain spread north Tuesday and Wednesday. The wind will ease as the rain becomes patchy Thursday.
