The day will be cloudy with bright or sunny spells. Orkney will see a dry day but occasional wintry showers are expected over Shetland. The wind will remain light north-easterly. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

Little change is expected overnight, Orkney will stay dry with clear spells while clear spells will be interspersed with the occasional wintry shower over Shetland. Frosty. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Tuesday 26th March:

Wintry showers soon clear Shetland to leave the Northern Isles dry with sunny spells. Cloud and outbreaks of rain, wintry at times spread north later. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Overcast skies and widespread rain clear to showers late Wednesday. Thursday and Friday remain mainly dry with a further band of rain and showers passing north Thursday night.
