Today 26th March:

Any wintry showers at first over Shetland soon clearing. Showers more frequent and may persist towards midday for Orkney. Then a dry day across the Northern Isles with sunny spells. Freshening northeast winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

It will stay dry throughout the evening and overnight with clear spells particularly for Shetland. Chilly east to northeasterly winds strengthen further through the period. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Wednesday 27th March:

Cloud builds from the south through the morning, with rain pushing north through the afternoon, clearing north towards midnight. Strong easterly winds, perhaps coastal gales, will ease through the evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday mainly dry before a band of rain passes later. Then Friday and Saturday will be mainly dry with perhaps the odd shower at times.
