Misty start for Friday with coastal fog and patchy drizzle. The odd bright spell breaking out later in the day. East to southeasterly winds lighter than on Thursday. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Some bright spells at first but more low cloud spreading in through the evening and overnight with occasional coastal fog and patchy drizzle. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday 25th May:

Cloudy through the day Saturday with occasional coastal fog and patchy drizzle. The odd brighter spell may develop for a time through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mostly cloudy Sunday and Monday with low cloud and occasional drizzle, patchy haar. The odd shower at times, most likely for Orkney. Turning windier Tuesday with rain at times.
