Today 3rd July:
Some bright spells expected for a time around the middle of the day. Otherwise generally cloudy with outbreaks of mostly light rain, although rain across Shetland turning heavier later, but turning more showery over Orkney. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tonight:
Occasionally heavy rain over Shetland soon clearing then a mix of late sunny or clear spells and occasionally heavy showers. Occasionally fresh westerly winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Thursday 4th July:
Some sunny spells, especially for Orkney, but a showery day, the showers heavy at times and across Shetland these may merge into a longer spell of occasionally heavy rain. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Remaining unsettled and rather cool through into the weekend with a mix of clear or sunny spells and showers.
