A rather cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, these occasionally heavy during the morning. The chance of a few bright or sunny spells for Orkney. Fresh to strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry for Orkney this evening with some late bright then clear spells. More cloud for Shetland with the risk of a few heavy showers through the night. Winds easing. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Tuesday 6th August:

Any early rain for Shetland will quickly clear. Then a mainly dry day with sunshine and some patchy mist or fog. Perhaps the odd shower later in the day. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Windy on Wednesday with scattered showers. Mainly dry with sunny spells on Thursday, but some rain later. Patchy cloud and a few showers on Friday.
