A bright day with some sunshine and scattered showers. The odd heavier shower is likely this morning, especially over Shetland, then fewer, lighter showers this afternoon. Fresh west or southwest winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry with clear periods at first. It will become cloudy during the night with patchy light rain by morning. Strengthening southerly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday 19th August:

A cloudy day with patchy light rain in the morning, becoming more persistent and heavier later in the day. Strong southerly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Overnight rain soon clearing to leave a drier Tuesday with sunny spells. Dry start to Wednesday, then wet and windy weather spreading to Northern Isles, clearing during Thursday.
