Today 23rd August:

A rather cloudy start with some patchy rain possible at times, especially for Orkney. Brightening up with some sunny spells and a few showers, but much of the time staying dry. Southwest winds freshen through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Sunny then clear spells and a few showers, perhaps more frequent for a time in the evening over Shetland, but much of the time staying dry. Fresh southwest winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday 24th August:

Sunny spells and a few showers, but much of the time staying dry. Becoming cloudier with showers more frequent for a time in the evening. Freshening winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Bright spells Sunday and Monday as winds ease and showers become isolated. Windier on Tuesday morning with some outbreaks of rain, drier and brighter later.
