Today 27th August:

Cloudy start with occasionally heavy rain, the rain clearing through the morning to leave sunny spells and a few showers for the afternoon. Strong southeasterly then southwesterly winds, easing later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

A mainly dry evening with some late sunny then clear spells. The rest of the night will then be largely dry with just the odd shower possible later. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday 28th August:

Bright spells and a few scattered showers. These showers may turn into a longer spell of rain in the afternoon, especially for Shetland. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunny start to Thursday followed by showers in the afternoon, particularly for Orkney. The odd light shower on Friday morning, otherwise dry and settled the rest of Friday and Saturday.
