Today 28th August:
Shetland rather cloudy with some low cloud, hill fog and the odd passing shower, before turning sunnier later. Orkney will be mainly dry with sunny intervals, but the odd sharp shower may drift up from Caithness later. Moderate southerly breeze. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Tonight:
There is the chance of the odd heavy shower this evening, perhaps thundery, then becoming dry with long clear spells overnight. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Thursday 29th August:
A dry start with some sunny spells. A scattering of showers breaking out by the afternoon with freshening southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Early showers on Friday then dry and quite sunny. The weekend will be dry with long spells of sunshine,
