Today 29th August:

A dry start with some sunny spells. A scattering of showers breaking out by the afternoon, these briefly heavy with a small chance of hail and thunder. Freshening southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Occasional showers continuing this evening and overnight, some again on the heavy side, becoming more isolated by the morning as winds start to ease. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Friday 30th August:

Still a few lighter showers around but these becoming isolated with a mainly dry afternoon to come with some sunny spells. Quite breezy at first over Orkney then light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

The weekend will be dry with long spells of sunshine. Likely to stay dry on Monday but probably cloudier, and a low risk of heavy showers.
