Today 2nd September:

Rather cloudy for Orkney on Monday with scattered heavy showers, merging to longer spells of rain later. Mainly dry with some morning brightness for Shetland, but cloud and heavy showers extending north later in the day. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with rain through the evening, heavy at times. Becoming drier for Orkney overnight and for Shetland by morning, but remaining cloudy with some coastal fog. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday 3rd September:

Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain at times on Tuesday morning, brightening up for a time by day, before showers spread in from the west later. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly dry with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud Wednesday to Friday, perhaps some haar from Thursday evening through Friday.
