The rain clearing Orkney later this evening or in the early hours. Drier and clearer conditions over Shetland with just a scattering of showers. Moderate to fresh northeast winds. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Tuesday 24th September:

A bright day with some sunny spells and a scattering of showers. It will feel chilly in the moderate to fresh north or northeast winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

A bright but chilly period as winds come in from the north or northeast, fresh to strong at times on Thursday and Friday. Occasional showers, wintry on hills.
