A few passing showers, mainly for Shetland but otherwise a dry, bright day with plenty Autumn sunshine, perhaps more cloud later for Orkney. northerly winds will mean a chilly feel out of the sun. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Showers and clear spells overnight, showers more frequent for a time, freshening northeasterly winds will make it feel quite chilly. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Thursday 26th September:

Quite blustery in cool northerly winds and some scattered showers but still plenty of brighter conditions with some sunny spells. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Showery conditions continuing, feeling cold on Friday and Saturday with fresh northerly winds and showers moving through. Milder on Sunday, a bright morning, rain later.
