Showers light and focused across Shetland at first, building and extending to Orkney from late morning. Feeling cool as the northerly winds increase to fresh to strong for the afternoon, despite the occasional brighter spells. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Tonight:
Strong northerly winds will continue to feed quite frequent showers across the Northern Isles tonight with occasional clear spells between. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Friday 27th September:
Showers frequent and heavy at times through the morning, driven on the strong northerly winds. Showers easing later in the day as the winds ease and back to the northwest. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Saturday and Sunday rather cloudy with occasional showers. Turning wet and windy overnight Sunday and through Monday.
