Today 3rd October:

The dry weather looks set to continue today with sunny spells. There will be some patchy cloud, especially over Shetland. Southerly winds will remain light, Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear periods at first, then becoming cloudy overnight. There may be a few spots of rain by morning. Freshening southerly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Friday 4th October:

A cloudy, mostly dry day. There will be some thicker cloud giving the odd patch of light rain, especially over Orkney. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Weather turning more unsettled over the weekend and into next week. There will be rain at times, most persistent, heavier on Monday, with strengthening easterly winds.
