Orkney will have a cloudy day with a few showers. Shetland will be cloudy this morning with rain, occasionally heavy, before drier weather extends south this afternoon. Fresh to strong north to northeasterly winds. Cold. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Some clear periods and a few showers, these becoming fewer later in the night. Fresh to strong northerly winds gradually easing down. A cold night. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Sunday 13th October:

Chance of a light shower at first otherwise it will be a dry, cold and bright day. Light winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mainly dry on Monday, chance of a little rain for a time. Dry with some brightness on Tuesday before rain spreads north on Wednesday. Becoming milder.
