Today 14th October:

Mainly dry with some early brightness. Soon becoming cloudier from the west over Orkney through the morning, with some outbreaks of rain, this extending to Shetland through the afternoon. Milder than Sunday. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Any outbreaks of rain soon clearing northeast to leave a dry evening. Staying dry overnight with some clear spells developing. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday 15th October:

Remaining dry with some bright or sunny spells throughout Tuesday. Strengthening southerly winds with coastal gales later. Milder than Monday. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Cloud and rain spread north on Wednesday, heavy for a time. Rain clearing east through Thursday but still cloudy. Mostly dry Friday, some rain later. Windy on Wednesday and Friday.
