The morning will begin cloudy with outbreaks of rain. This rain will clear Orkney from the early morning and Shetland towards midday. The afternoon will stay dry with increasing bright or sunny spells. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with the odd patch of light rain over Shetland at first otherwise the night will be dry with clear spells and a strengthening southerly wind. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Thursday 24th October:

Mainly dry with bright or sunny spells and a strong southerly wind that eases through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Conditions will be cloudy and unsettled throughout with rain at times. This rain will be heavy or persistent over Orkney at times Saturday and Sunday.
