Today 24th October:

A mostly dry and mild day with bright or sunny spells and a strong southerly wind. Thickening cloud will spread east as the wind begins to ease from mid-afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Most of the night will stay cloudy and mild but dry. The strong southerly wind will fall light towards morning as patchy rain spreads east over Shetland. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday 25th October:

Patchy rain will soon clear Shetland to leave a dry day with bright spells. Orkney will stay dry but cloudy. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Strengthening southerly wind and outbreaks of rain, some heavy, Saturday. Strong wind turns west and rain showery Sunday. Becoming drier Monday as the strong wind turns northerly.
