A cloudy start to the day with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. Cloud clearing east during the afternoon to allow some good sunny spells. Strong westerly winds for Shetland. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Clear spells and a little patchy cloud through this evening. Further clear spells overnight with the chance of the odd shower. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Wednesday 30th October:

Sunny spells and the odd shower during Wednesday morning. Clouding over into the afternoon with rain following behind by evening and increasing winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Cloudy with rain, heavy at times Thursday, accompanied by strong winds. Rain lingering over Orkney Friday but brightening up for Shetland by afternoon. Clearing northwards Saturday, drier and brighter behind.
