Rain clearing from Orkney by dawn, then a mostly dry day across the Isles. Still rather cloudy but some sunny intervals. A few light showers, these wintry over Shetland. A colder day, but the strong northwesterly winds will ease down. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

A mainly dry evening and night with any light showers over Shetland quickly dying out, Mainly cloudy with just a few clear intervals. Some rain reaching Orkney by morning. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Saturday 2nd November:

Cloudy with some light rain, this more persistent for a time in the morning before turning light and patchy. Fresh to strong south to southwest winds, turning milder. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy with patchy light rain on Sunday and Monday. Perhaps more in the way of sunny intervals on Tuesday.
