Bright with wintry showers, persistent and heavy at times, with some hail and a chance of thunder. Showers turning mainly to rain across Shetland later. Feeling bitterly cold in the strong northwest winds. Maximum temperature 3 °C.

Tonight:

Some more persistent rain or sleet pushes south through the evening, with a chance of hail and thunder, turning more showery over Shetland later. Strong west to northwest winds. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Thursday 21st November:

Further showers or longer spells of rain or sleet continue through Thursday. Chance of hail and thunder. Fresh to strong northerly winds at times. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Wintry showers continuing through Friday, occasionally turning to rain. Fresh to strong northerly winds at times. Showers clearing Saturday morning, then rain later, clearing through Sunday. Very strong southeast winds.
