Today 22nd November:

A mix of sunny spells and wintry showers, falling as a mix of rain, hail and snow through the morning. The showers become fewer and further between this afternoon with more in the way of sunshine. Occasionally strong northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

Any remaining wintry showers soon dying out to leave a dry night with long clear spells. Winds easing, allowing a widespread frost to develop. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Saturday 23rd November:

A dry morning, with sunny spells, although cloud across Orkney increasing. Outbreaks of rain reach Orkney in the early afternoon and Shetland mid-evening. Southeasterly gales developing, perhaps severe in evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Unsettled, but milder, with showers or longer spells of rain and strong to gale force southerly or southwesterly winds, the winds turning more northerly on Tuesday and ease a little.
