A wet start to the day but becoming drier for Orkney for a time in the afternoon, but further rain by dusk. Rain across Shetland for much of the day. Mild with fresh to strong southerly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Further outbreaks of rain overnight, Clear spells will develop, for Orkney first and Shetland later with rain turning more showery, mild and windy. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday 30 November:

Windy but largely dry on Saturday, although a few passing showers especially in the evening, remaining quite mild. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Windy on Sunday with a few showers, a change to colder conditions on Monday and Tuesday with showers turning wintry and cold northerly winds.
