Staying cloudy with outbreaks of rain for Shetland becoming more patchy overnight. Dry over Orkney with variable amounts of cloud. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday 16 April:

Cloudy but mostly dry to start. Rain spreads north through the day, some heavier outbreaks possible at times. Freshening northerly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Changeable. Cloud and rain clearing north Thursday leading to sunshine and showers. Bright spells and scattered showers Friday and Saturday, chance of some more persistent rain at times.
