Today 3 May:

Cloudy start with frequent and at times heavy showers. Some sunnier spells may break out at times later as showers become less frequent and intense. Strong northerly winds easing slightly. Chilly. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Patchy cloud with scattered showers and perhaps some late sunny spells in between. Showers will then continue to become fewer through the night. A cold wind. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday 4 May:

Sunny spells and a few light scattered showers in the morning. These will tend to clear through the day leaving some lengthy afternoon sunshine. Fresh winds moderating but still chilly. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Rather cloudy and cool on Monday with a few light showers. Staying dry for the most part on Tuesday and Wednesday with some sunny periods, mainly for Orkney.
