A fine late spring day with all parts staying dry and seeing prolonged periods of sunshine. This coupled with light to moderate north to northeast breezes will bring seasonally warm afternoon highs. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Tonight:
Staying dry with good late sunshine, particularly across Orkney. However northeast breezes will gradually feed cloudier skies across Shetland from late evening, with some reaching Orkney towards dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Thursday 15 May :
A rather cloudy start, particularly across Shetland, but all should stay dry with sunny spells turning widespread from the south from late morning. Northeast breezes. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Dry and sunny through Friday. Rather cloudy for the weekend with occasional mist and a risk of patchy fog and drizzle. Moderate north to northeast winds.
