A settled days weather ahead with all staying dry and seeing good spells of sunshine. Temperatures will be above seasonal averages, particularly for Orkney. Fresh to strong southeast winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Continuing with settled weather. All dry with good late sunshine. Mild overnight in the fresh to strong south to southeast winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Friday 13 June:

Orkney a touch cloudier with a chance of a few scattered showers developing. Shetland dry with further good spells of sunshine. Southeast winds initially fresh to strong. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Turning more unsettled with showers or longer periods of rain, heavier with a risk of thunder Saturday, patchy and light for Sunday and Monday.
