Mostly staying dry through the day with occasional sunny spells. However a few showers may develop across Orkney for the afternoon while lower cloud occasionally pushes across Shetland. South to southeast winds strong at first. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Any showers across Orkney soon clearing to leave a dry evening and night with good late sunshine then clear spells. Light to moderate southerly breezes. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday 14 June:

Dry, bright start. Quickly turning cloudy and showery with later outbreaks merging to longer periods of rain at times and bringing the risk of thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy with occasional rain, this heaviest and most persistent during Sunday morning. West to southwest winds, occasionally strong, particularly across Shetland.
