Today 4 July:

The morning will begin dry for Shetland but outbreaks of rain over Orkney soon spread north. The rain will become persistent over Orkney in the morning and Shetland later in the afternoon. Windy. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Rain will continue through the evening, persistent over Shetland. Persistent rain will clear Shetland from late evening becoming patchy for all towards morning. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday 5 July :

A cloudy day with patchy and mostly light rain at times. The westerly breeze will become light and changeable over Shetland later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy with rain but mainly dry over Orkney Sunday. Early rain will soon clear Monday morning to leave Monday and Tuesday dry with sunny spells.
