Remaining mostly cloudy with mist and drizzle, this most extensive across Shetland. The low cloud clearing Orkney at times will some brighter spells. Moderate southwest winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Orkney will be dry with the cloud breaking up to bring some clear spells overnight. Shetland remaining cloudy with some mist and light rain at times. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Friday 12 July :

A cloudy start over Shetland but becoming dry, and increasingly sunny during the afternoon. Orkney dry with sunny periods, perhaps some east coast haar later. Warmer. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Remaining dry. Some warm sunshine, especially over sheltered western areas, but with an increasing risk of persistent haar.
