Today 19 July :

Haar soon clearing west coast of Shetland, and brightening up for a while. Haar likely to affect Orkney for much of the day, most extensive in the east but clearing later in the afternoon. A few heavy showers. Moderate southeasterlies. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland will remain dry but cloudy. Orkney will be affected by some heavy showers. Haar will return on the light to moderate easterly winds at times. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday 20 July :

A dull start with some haar, and over Orkney, some heavy showers. Brighter weather with some sunshine will arrive in the afternoon. Moderate easterly winds, warmest on western coasts. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A few showers but these will be interspersed with warm and sunny spells. Low cloud could be extensive at times with occasional haar.
