YELLOW WARNING WIND

Today 4 August:
Storm Floris will bring gale to severe gale winds across the Northern Isles from mid to late morning, also periods of occasionally heavy rain, though turning more showery at times during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Tonight:
Storm Floris clearing to the north, easing the very strong winds overnight, with gales becoming confined to Shetland by dawn. Showers or longer periods of rain turning heavy at times. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Tuesday 5 August:
Periods of rain and gales at first across Shetland. Otherwise brisk west to northwest winds maintaining a run of scattered showers and brighter spells. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Brighter spells and showers for much of the period, but a longer period of rain for a time early Wednesday. Winds brisk west to southwest.
