Isolated showers at first, merging to longer periods of light to moderate rain across Orkney during the evening, which extends to Shetland overnight. West to southwest breezes. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Monday 11 August :

Cloudy skies and early rain clearing during the morning to leave a dry and sunny afternoon. Winds easing light. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Scattered showers between brighter spells, with a risk of thunderstorms for Wednesday. Winds mostly light.
