The day will begin with outbreaks of rain, some heavy. This will continue north, clearing Orkney during the morning and Shetland in the early afternoon. This leaves the rest of the day with with sunny spells. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

The evening and night will continue dry and mild with clear periods. Low cloud will however build to reach most places at times overnight. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Wednesday 13 August :

Low cloud and mist will linger through the day for some. The chance of showers will increase during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Any showers will clear late Thursday into Friday but there remains a continuing risk of low cloud, mist and drizzle through into Saturday.
