Staying dry and mostly cloudy. Some bright or sunny interludes will develop, mostly likely in the afternoon and more especially over Orkney. Very light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud thickening and filling in again during the evenieng with some fog and drizzle developing, especially around Shetland, cloud remaining through the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday 18 August :

Cloud and patchy drizzle is likely to be quite persistent on Monday morning, perhaps some brighter spells developing in the afternoon, winds remaining very light. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

High pressure is expected to remain over the area with light winds but low cloud will be persistent at times with some drizzle. A few brighter spells likely too.
