A mainly cloudy day with the chance of some showery rain, this most likely across Orkney. Shetland may be dry this morning with some bright spells. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Showers will gradually die out this evening. Then the rest of the night will be dry and cold with lengthy clear periods. Light southerly winds. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Sunday 14 September :

A dry daily with some good sunny spells but increasing cloud through the afternoon. Rain will reach Orkney towards midnight. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Windy on Monday with outbreaks of rain, most persistent across Orkney, Brighter, windy with a few showers on Tuesday. Rain spreading north on Wednesday.
