Today 17 September :

A dry and bright start to the morning, Cloud will spread north across Orkney later in the morning and Shetland in the afternoon. Rain follows over Orkney in the afternoon and Shetland towards evening. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Drier conditions, with the odd shower spread to Orkney from the evening and to Shetland towards midnight. These showers merge into longer periods of rain towards morning. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Thursday 18 September :

Cloudy with showery rain at first. Orkney becomes drier with the occasional shower in the morning with Shetland following from late afternoon. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mostly dry Orkney, outbreaks rain Shetland Friday. Drier with bright spells and the occasional shower Saturday and Sunday.
